Two Feathers NAFS, in collaboration with Karuk Tribe’s Natural Resources Department, hosted an Earth Day Clean-up event in Orleans, California. During this event, our group highlighted the importance of coming together as a community for a collective goal, which is to protect and acknowledge the indigenous land we are on. In addition, this event provided an opportunity to reconnect ourselves with the land, promote wellness, and have fun outdoors. Incorporating community members, families, youth, and other agencies, Two Feathers NAFS continues to focus on developing relationships.
With approximately 40 people, the group was able to collect numerous bags of trash. The trash collected will now stay out of our river.
