Two Feathers NAFS Seeks Youth Ambassadors

Two Feathers NAFS’ Youth Leadership Development Program is excited to announce they are accepting applications for the 2024/2025 Youth Ambassador Cohort.

Native youth ambassadors will preferably be juniors or seniors in high school, work permit eligible, interested in learning leadership and employment skills and able to commit to a 1-year program.

Two Feathers NAFS says that this program is important, as it helps youth develop advocacy skills while also expanding their connection to others.

The Youth Leadership Development Program focuses on building up the next generation of Native community leaders through 1-on-1 support, cultural engagement, work experience and community service.

Two Feathers states on their website: “Despite many Native American people suffering from elevated rates of health disparities, we believe prevention programming works. Strength, resilience, hope and kindness are essential cultural characteristics that continue to be present in Native American communities.”
