For an organization looking to “center” the community, the starting point is often hiding in plain sight: the words the organization uses to describe itself… can anyone in the community read [their mission statement] and say, “That’s us”?
Nonprofit Quarterly recently interviewed Two Feathers NAFS, learning about our culture, our community, and our approach to mental health and wellbeing. They found that our asset-based mission statement reflected the community’s strengths and keeps community at the center of our mission.
We’re proud to have been featured, and are proud to continue serving our communities.
