On June 10th, Two Feathers excitedly welcomed people to the premiere of our short film Chími kan nu’aráriihkanheesh: The Healing Journey at the Arcata Playhouse. In this powerful film, local Native American youth share their stories of substance use and how they have embarked on their own transformative healing journeys.

When people arrived, they were welcomed by some of our team members and then directed to the red carpet. Community members joined together for a photo opportunity before they walked the red carpet into the theater. While waiting for the film to start, the group was able to connect with others and enjoy some light refreshments.

This event, with approximately 150 people in attendance, was an opportunity for the community to watch the film, hear from the youth, and collectively imagine a world where healing is possible.
