  1. Hello,

I am writing in response to the Clinician position with Two Feathers Native American Family Services. I am presently exploring career opportunities within the American Indian population and have a high interest in potential employment at your agency. I have extensive experience working with diverse communities of adolescents and believe I would be an ideal fit for your company.

My two social work internships have given me extensive and varied experiences as a social worker in an educational setting, as well as a crisis intervention setting. At Casa Pacifica, I provided crisis interventions to a socioeconomically diverse population of teenagers. At my current internship with Lompoc Union School District, I provide individual psychotherapy for students with a variety of behavioral issues.

On a personal level, I am a descendant of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and understand the importance of providing culturally appropriate treatment plans to the American Indian population.

While pursuing a master’s degree, I have been fortunate enough to work with my tribal community, where I am a part of a team that implements and develops a culturally appropriate suicide prevention program for native youth and young adults ages 12-24.

I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your employment needs and my qualifications in further detail. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
