Employment Opportunity: Intake Coordinator

Two Feathers NAFS is seeking a full-time Intake Coordinator who will facilitate the entry of Native American youth and families into Two Feathers clinical and prevention services. The Intake Coordinator is often the first Two Feathers’ employee who community members encounter when seeking services, and this position utilizes strong interpersonal and customer service skills. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for contacting those referred, completing necessary screenings, and using triage skills to guide community members into the appropriate services/programming to meet their needs.

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Compensation: $26 to $29 hour (typically starting at the beginning of the scale)

Two Feathers NAFS is a local nonprofit chartered by the Big Lagoon Rancheria. Two Feathers NAFS’ purpose is to inspire healthy and balanced Native American communities in Humboldt County. To achieve our goal, we work with Native American children and families in a good way which includes using culturally-based interventions that promote holistic health and developing respectful collaborations with both Native and Non-Native agencies.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field (social work, psychology, etc). Graduate level degree in Social Work or related field, preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in working with Native American children and adults.   
  • Current driver’s license, in good standing
  • Fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice, FBI, and Child Abuse Index.
  • Must comply with a drug-free work environment.

  • This is a full-time position. Salary will be determined on experience, education, and licensure.
  • Health insurance: Employees are eligible after the first full month of employment and Two Feathers NAFS pays 80% of the cost of the employee’s Anthem Silver PPO plan health coverage.
  • Dental and Vision are also available at cost to employee.
  • Retirement Plan: Employees are eligible for a Simple IRA plan. Two Feathers will match dollar for dollar the employee’s elective deferral contribution up to 3% of the employee’s total annual compensation, after one year of employment.
  • Full-time employees accrue 96 hours of sick time and 1 week of vacation within the first year of employments, to increase to 2 weeks of vacation earned per year after the first year.
  • Two Feathers is a HRSR site and licensed employees are eligible for the HRSA student loan repayment program.
  • 12.5 paid holidays per year.
